The Alternative Veterinary Medicine Centre (AVMC) ![]() The Alternative Veterinary Medicine Centre has been providing holistic veterinary medicine for 23 years and its proprietor (holistic vet, acupuncture vet, herbal vet and specialist homeopathic vet Chris Day) has been working in this field for more than 38 years. Therapies provided include Veterinary Homeopathy, Veterinary Acupuncture, Veterinary Herbal Medicine (Herbs), Chiropractic Manipulation, Natural Feeding and dietary advice, Aromatherapy (Essential Oils), LASER Therapy and other Complementary and Alternative Veterinary Medicine modalities (CAVM). All species are treated, including cats, dogs, horses, ponies, cattle, buffalo, sheep, pigs, donkeys, goats, ferrets, camelids (e.g. llamas and alpacas), rabbits, poultry and the more 'exotic' pets. Dogs, cats and other small species are usually seen at the centre. Horses are usually visited at their homes. However, visits can be arranged for any species. We also offer an on-line Video Consultation Service, for those who are unable to travel to see us, for whatever reason (e.g. disability, illness, distance, animal's inability to travel, foreign residence).
