The Alternative Veterinary Medicine Centre has been providing holistic veterinary medicine for 20 years (as of March 2007) and its proprietor (holistic vet and specialist homeopathic vet Chris Day) has been working in this field for more than 35 years.

Therapies provided are Veterinary Homeopathy, Veterinary Acupuncture, Veterinary Herbal Medicine (Herbs), Chiropractic Manipulation, Natural Feeding and dietary advice, Aromatherapy (Essential Oils), LASER Therapy and other Complementary and Alternative Veterinary Medicine modalities (CAVM).

All species are treated, including cats, dogs, horses, ponies, cattle, buffalo, sheep, pigs, donkeys, goats, ferrets, camelids (e.g. llamas and alpacas), rabbits, poultry and the more 'exotic' pets.
