Holistic Veterinary Medicine

Holistic Veterinary Medicine takes into account the whole mind, body and spirit, in the context of diet, lifestyle and environment. It requires that the vet should acquire an in-depth understanding of the patient and of the pressures affecting the patient. Consultations can therefore be a lengthy affair. Most new patients will require 30 minutes to 1 hour, in the consulting room. They then receive follow-up attention, dependent upon client reporting.

Veterinary Homeopathy, Veterinary Acupuncture, Veterinary Herbal Medicine, Chiropractic Manipulation and other Complementary and Alternative Veterinary Medicine modalities are holistic in nature.

At the AVMC, we integrate these for optimum patient benefit, providing natural feeding dietary advice and chiropractic manipulation for each patient, regardless both of therapy used and of species presented.

These methodologies apply equally to horses, dogs, cats and other species. However, horses require additional attention to saddling, shoeing etc. and farm animals to housing, management etc.
